Genesee Street Lane Closures Begin June 1

Beginning June 1, crews will begin sidewalk and curb work along Genesee Street between Water Street and Grand Avenue. Drivers should expect single-lane traffic through late July as the work progresses.

Flaggers and posted signage will direct traffic during active work hours, roughly 7am–4pm on weekdays. Access to businesses and residences along the corridor will remain open throughout construction, though on-street parking will be temporarily restricted in active work zones.

The city recommends allowing extra travel time through downtown during this period, or using Sheridan Road as an alternate route where possible.
