Project Description

Waukegan is replacing lead water service lines throughout the city, one property connection at a time, to eliminate a legacy source of lead exposure in drinking water. Crews are working street by street, coordinating with property owners ahead of each replacement and restoring sidewalks and lawns once new lines are in place. The work is funded in phases and will continue until every identified lead service line in the city has been replaced.
